Covid-19 "2020 - 2021"


The Covid-19 has hit the Navajo Nation with a tremendous force as of today April 18, 2020 there are more than 1,200 + cases and over 50 deaths in the Nation, The Navajo Nation is doing everything possible to slow down this epidemic that has come into our Nation.
** UPDATE CASES AS OF MAY 17, 20 : There now 3,912 positive cases and 140 deaths
** UPDATE ON COVID-19 AS OF JUNE 23 :

3,716 recoveries, 55 new cases, no new deaths related to COVID-19 reported as Navajo Nation’s daily curfew remains in effect
WINDOW ROCK, Ariz. -- The Navajo Nation reported on Monday night the total COVID-19 cases on the country’s largest Indian reservation has surpassed 7,000 since the reporting began on March 17, 2020. The total number of COVID-19 positive cases for the Navajo Nation is 7,045.
The total exceeds 10 states COVID-19 cases.
Reports from 11 health care facilities on and near the Navajo Nation indicate that approximately 3,716 individuals recovered from COVID-19, with one health care facility report still pending. 49,444 people have been tested for COVID-19.
The total number of deaths remains at 335 as of Monday.

** UPDATE AS OF NOV. 2nd 2020: 
We are updating as of today, there is 11,828 positive cases with 108,050 negative cases and 581 Deaths, this past 2 weeks the numbers have been high again, our nation has been on a Lock Down again these past 2 weekends with a curfew at 8 pm. each evening.

Tyda and I are taking the initiative to put together care packages for some of these pastor's in and around our area, and deliver some products and food to them to help them out in these tough and unusual times. ** As of April 24, We managed to put together 10 packages for the Navajo Pastor's about $100 per box, of food and necessities for their family. We Thank the churches and people that have donated to this cause.
** As of May 8, We managed to put together 25 packages for the Pastors...with all your help we were able to bring a good load of good quality stuff together to give out to them. Stand with us and donate and Thank you so much.
** UPDATE: AS OF MAY 17, We have packages together over 50 pastors care package, These are are Big care packages with a couple of Big Boxes of can foods, frozen meats, another box of Towels, toilet tissues, hand soap, hand sanitizers, and things like that.
** UPDATE: AS OF MAY 23, As of today we have put together over 65 boxes to give to the pastor of the Navajo Nation that have been hit hard because of this covid-19. and these are big boxes of food and other supplies, We thank all the donators, all the people that have given to make this possible, but there are more and more people coming out for help, these are real people coming out and talking with us what they are facing and experience, many time we shed tears with them and we pray with them.
** UPDATE; AS OF JUNE 2, As of today we have put together 82 boxes of food and essentials to the Navajo Pastors We just Thank Everyone who is giving toward this need to help us keep foods and other items moving toward the right direction - Helping people.
** UPDATE: AS OF JUNE 23, As of today we have put together 102 boxes of food and essentials for the Pastors and single moms and elders some of these people have driven 2 hours to get to the church, some we took out to their homes because they can't drive anywhere. awesome to help people.
** UPDATE: AS OF JULY 13, As of Today we have put together 151 Boxes for the Pastor, These are huge boxes that will last them at lease 2 weeks with Food and Essentials items, doing great work here, people are still driving about 2 hours to get here, to pick up some boxes.
** UPDATE: AS OF JULY 18, As of today we have provided 183 boxes for the Pastors, again these are huge boxes that are given to the pastors about 2 weeks supply.
** We are running Low on our Supply, We need help in restocking supplies, Your gift of any amount will help us move ahead again, the numbers are still high here and we are still in curfew and lock down's over the weekends, would you please consider to help us to bless the pastors, Just press the donation button below...Thank you so much.

** UPDATE: As of August 8th This is taken from the Office of the President and Vice President's statement:
“As we begin near the fall and winter seasons, it’s very important that our Navajo people eat healthy and stay active to help build their immune system for the upcoming flu season. Our health care experts are cautioning that the flu season combined with the COVID-19 pandemic will present new challenges for our communities and our health care system. Until there is a safe vaccine, we must remain diligent about staying home as much as possible, wearing a mask, practicing social distancing, washing your hands, and avoiding large crowds. The partial weekend lockdown provides time on Saturday for families to prepare for the winter by gathering fire wood, food, and other supplies. We will continue to work closely with our health care experts and rely on their advice,” said Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez.

** UPDATE: As of October 5th - Again the Navajo Nation is on a 57 hour lock down starting at 8:00 pm on Friday ending on Monday morning at 5:00 am. with spike in our numbers again and with a few more deaths happening, our President and V.P. are trying to bring the numbers down...still fighting this virus and We still working on caring for the Pastors and still need a lot of Help, Thank you for considering in helping us...Thank you.

** UPDATE: As of November 2, 2020 As of today there is 11, 282 cases with 108,050 negative cases, and 581 deaths recorded, In these past 2 weeks our numbers have risen high again and we have been on a Lock Down again these past 3 weekends. Although we have ended our Pastor Care Packs, Pastors and people are still contacting us to see if we have anymore food left, More foods have come in, so we keep giving out to the Pastors and Public, they are very thankful for the foods. So as of now we are still providing food to the Pastor's and their family and the public. Yesterday Nov. 1st we took 100 boxes of food about 100 miles from where we are located a place called Rock Point, AZ. the food was gone in less then 30 mins as the cars lined up to pick up their food, they extended to us their graditude

UPDATE: AS OF NOVEMBER 15, 2020  As of today there is now 13,373 positive cases with 603 deaths, the number here on the Navajo  Nation is risen high again, The Navajo Nation is now on a 3 week lock down starting tomorrow Nov. 16, 20. So with these number rising again, the more people will be in need of help...although we have been shut down since Oct. 9th...It's not so, We still have been helping others with food, since then we have had 2 semi loads of food come in and that was given out in 2 days to the various churches and people, so we are still In need now again more then ever as we the Navajo Nation have enter into the 2nd phase of this Pandemic, Thank you for your support in this time of Need.

197 new cases, 7,986 recoveries, and one more death related to COVID-19 as three-week stay-at-home lockdown begins
WINDOW ROCK, Ariz. – On Monday, the Navajo Department of Health, in coordination with the Navajo Epidemiology Center and the Navajo Area Indian Health Service, reported 197 new COVID-19 positive cases for the Navajo Nation and one more death. The total number of deaths is now 603 as of Monday. Reports indicate that 7,986 individuals have recovered from COVID-19, and 139,498 COVID-19 tests have been administered. The total number of positive COVID-19 cases is now 13,596, including 26 delayed unreported cases.


UPDATE: AS OF NOVEMBER 29, 2020
Navajo Nation reports 221 New cases and 2 more deaths, Wednesday evening's update from the Navajo Department of Health bring the total deaths on the reservation that spans parts of AZ, UT, NM to 640 deaths. A lock down has been ordered by the Health Department and the Office of the President and Vice President - 3 week stay at home lockdown for the reservation residents that is in effect 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The only people that can leave their homes are the essential workers, or people that need to purchase food, Business on the Navajo Nation Open at 7:00 am and close at 3:00 pm. each day. There is a rise in numbers on the Nation as the 2nd wave comes in again. We are in much prayer for the Nation.

UPDATE: AS OF JANUARY 13, 2021
HAPPY NEW YEAR, it's hard to believe that we are already in 2021, We have been through a lot in 2020, looking forward to a brand New Year. Updates  193 New Cases and 3 more death, total number of deaths is now 874 with a total number of positive cases 25,576...Our number has risen up again during this winter months which is difficult time, but our hopes are high and we praying for out Nation. Thanks.

UPDATE: AS OF JANUARY 29, 2021

In less than a year the Navajo Nation has lost 1,000 Diné to COVID-19.
A reported 59 more people tested positive for COVID-19 in the Navajo Nation as of Thursday. Reports indicate that 14,275 individuals have recovered from COVID-19, and 231,031 COVID-19 tests have been administered. The total number of positive COVID-19 cases is now 27,987.
“Unfortunately, we reached 1,000 deaths today. We offer our thoughts and prayers to all of the families who have lost loved ones,” stated Navajo President Jonathan Nez. “We can all do our part to honor their memory and to prevent more deaths by keeping our guard up and taking all precautions to reduce the number of cases.”
